Incidentally: Pitt stop

The famous Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai

Brad Pitt is so good at acting he’s convinced Dubai-based Zabeel Properties he is an architect, and now the company has asked him to build a vast hotel and leisure development for the booming Middle Eastern city.

That’s what I convinced myself, but annoyingly, it seems Pitt may actually have some talent in this area – turns out when he’s not being handsome in front of the camera he spends time as design consultant for LA-based architectural firm Graft.

“Whilst acting is my career, architecture is my passion,” Brad said, according to various broadsheets. “Selecting this development as my first major construction project has been a simple decision. It will underpin not only my values for environmentally-friendly architecture, but also embrace my career in entertainment.”

It will include an 800-room five-star hotel themed on ‘America’, planned as a venue for glamorous events and award ceremonies.

Ah, I see now – he’s so vastly egotistical he wants to accept some industry award in a building he designed himself.

No, annoyingly he’s almost certainly very nice to boot. And a fireman.
