Mövenpick doubles at Stuttgart Airport

Mövenpick Hotels is to open a new four star property at Stuttgart Airport on Thursday (4 October).

Senior Vice President Europe Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Stefan Flury, claimed the hotel was in a “perfect location”: just 50 metres away from the airport and only 200 metres away from the new ‘Landesmesse’ exhibition centre for Stuttgart’s business visitors.

Additionally, there is a motorway link to the hotel and plans are in progress to construct an ICE railway station.

More than 300 hotel rooms are available at the new flagship hotel, offering contemporary suites with comfortable furnishings, fresh décor and natural light.

There are 16 conference and seminar rooms with a capacity of up to 500 delegates, all offering various technical facilities.

Leisure amenities include Restaurant Trollinger, serving regional and international cuisine, a fireplace lounge, café and the Message Bar.  There is also a 400m² Gym & Ease area, which includes a fitness studio, saunas, steam baths and massage treatments.

This is the second hotel from the Swiss international chain based at Stuttgart Airport. “The location at Stuttgart Airport and the new Landesmesse exhibition centre, will make the new hotel very attractive for a growing number of visitors,” said Flury, adding: “After Frankfurt and Hamburg, this is now our third successful new opening in Germany in the space of only 16 months.

“The next phase for the company is to open the Mövenpick Hotel Düsseldorf in 2008.”
