TelMe Farebase, a leading airfares distribution and management specialist has launched Global Profiler, a software system which allows travel management companies (TMC’s) and corporate clients to retain profiles on their travellers. The software stores personal preferences such as aircraft seat and meal choices and preferred hotel room types, as well as passport and visa validity and personal information for use in case of an emergency.
Peter Muller, Managing Director of TelMe Farebase commented: “By involving travellers, allowing them even in small ways to influence their travel experiences, gives them a feeling of ownership. Travellers often go off-policy because they resent restrictions imposed upon them by their companies travel policy. If they feel they are helping to shape and influence policy, they’re much more likely to stick to it.”
A key feature of new software is that it is programmed to work across any global distribution system (GDS). Should a TMC change its GDS, or even a company change it’s TMC, they will not have to go through the laborious and expensive task of re-entering each of the profiles onto the new system.
Global Profiler also has the added bonus of allowing travellers to amend and update their own profiles from any location on anywhere in the world.
TelMe Farebase has offices in the UK and South Africa, and offers a range of travel technology, including the global fares database eWorldshopper. Clients include Advantage Business Travel in the UK and worldwide deals with Uniglobe and GlobalStar.
